As I was going through the thought process of "What should I write about for my next article?" I had an extraordinary dream. Now, I was getting pretty nervous about the deadline coming up in a few days. I had absolutely nothing--zippo. I told the Lord I would wait until He gave me something to write--but in the back of my head, I was actually thinking about "Plan B"!!! "What if I DON'T get anything, what will I do???" I thought. But in my dream, the Lord showed me, through my own actions, what we as Christians are capable of. If we only live one day at a time, not getting wrapped up in our surroundings or our own wants, we can have a life full of loving others and devotion to Him.
In case you didn't read the fine print, a big part of being a Christian is depending solely on God: being ready to do anything He asks, depending on Him for your needs, no matter the case. When we get into this place, doing whatever, wherever, whenever, depending on His every word (for our own well being, too), we reach an amazing sensation in our relationship with Him. It is like a sky-diving sensation, we don't know exactly where we are going, but trusting someone, and doing amazing things.
This may seem like something impossible to accomplish, but it is all a matter of getting your heart right. I hope I will be able to get my heart right like it should be. Ooh, you thought I already had this stuff down? Well, you are wrong. I know, I should talk, stressing about some article that's due!!!
So, to wrap all my cluttered thoughts up for this month, if we only live one day at a time, depending on God and living for Him, we can be ready to do anything. And guess what?!? I didn't even resort to "Plan B" (I kind of hoped you had realized that!), which I won't go into the details of (just kidding!).
Thanks for reading, and please, let me know any comments or suggestions you have. I would love to hear them!
See you soon, Alyssa
